Why do we stand when we sing?

The the Levities of the children of the Kohathities and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with voices loud and hight. 2 Chronicles 20:19

Why do we clap our hands?

Oh, clap your hands, all you people! Shout to God with a voice of triumph! Psalms 47:1

Why do we lift our hands?

Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. Psalms 63:4

Why do we have audible praise unto God?

I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalms 34:1

So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord … Acts 4:24

Why do we sing in Tongues and in English?

What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Corinthians 14:15

Why do we have this type of worship?

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24

Why do we have speaking with Tongues and interpretation?

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all…to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:7-10

I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless he interprets that the church may receive edification. 1 Corinthians 14:5

Why do we sing choruses as well as hyms?

Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16

Why do we anoint with oil and pray for the sick?

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:14-15
